(Polygon and vertex count represent totals from original geometry.)
“Headphones” is a hand-modeled representation of a fairly sophisticated headset, with an actual retail product photo used for
reference. The geometry was generated using the following: a NURBS “loft” (or “sweep”) operation to create the headband;
subdivision surfaces (SDS) for the extension pieces, the remainder of the frame and the ear pads. Realsoft 3D v. 6 (2013) originally was used to model the object and apply the black leather texture/material to the ear pads. The headphones model is available in the following 3D formats: R3D (Realsoft 3D/v. 8.2.77/native); 3DM (Open Source: native to Rhinoceros/MOI 3D); 3DS (3D Studio/universal CAD); 3MF (3D printing); DAE (Collada/common interchange); DXF (Autocad/universal); OBJ (Alias
Wavefront/common); SKP (Google Sketchup); STL (stereolithography/3D printing); U3D (Universal 3D/PDF); WRL (VRML 2/’97); X3D (Extensible 3D/WRL successor). One texture is supplied, in TGA format: leather (ear pads)—600x600 pixels, 96 DPI, RGB 8-bit. (Created and modified “metal” materials were applied to other geometric objects.) All geometry has been carefully inspected for integrity.
