PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a High Definition accurate scale model of the Saturn V Launch Vehicle S-IVB stage that first propelled man out of Earth orbit into Trans-Lunar Injection and onward to the moon in December 1968.

Modeled with precision using detailed 1:48 scale blueprints and extensive photographic research spanning over a year.

Separate parts enable realistic animation of the J2 engine ignition and gimballing, ullage and APS engines and opening of the petal-like SLA panels to release the CSM and Lunar Module (not included).

75 high resolution texture and bump maps offer down to the rivet detail.

The J2 engine has morph targets to allow it to gimbal during flight

TEXTURES

For the LWO model both XYZ Projection and UV mapped versions are included:
75 non-UV texture maps (PNG and PSD format - Native LWO)
14 UV texture maps (PNG format - UV mapped LWO, FBX and OBJ)
Textures set to scale of 36 pixels per foot
Example: (Cylindrically mapped) Instrument Unit stage = 2448 x 108 pixels

GENERAL

Model built to real-world scale.
Units used: Feet and Inches. Model is 89 feet high and 22 feet in diameter.

ANIMATIONS

Pivot points and morph targets are preset in Layout file for all animatable features. Separate morph target layers/models are also available for the FBX and OBJ products to allow morphs to be setup in other 3D programs
