Scorpio Spider Shell is a 3d model of a type of large sea snail, found mainly in the Indian Ocean and in the Western Pacific.

Distributed off of the Kii Peninsula and southwards. Found at depths up to 10 meters. Its shell has 8 spines, the reason for its name the spider shell. Young snails do not have the spines on their shells.The spider conch (Lambis truncata) can grow up to 40cm or more in length and has a very smooth and white / pale pink inside. The shell has become very rare and in danger of disappearing because they are collected and used as a beautiful interior decoration.It is the largest of the finger shells and is very common in the Marshalls in a variety of habitats. They can be seen in good numbers in lagoon sand and Halimeda algae flats; on rubble and the hard reef flat as shallow a meter of less; on lagoon pinnacles, particularly the large and flat-topped ones; and on both eastern and western seaward slopes, both on the top of the slope and down the sides.
