Ticonderoga-Class AEGIS cruisers (CG) are multi role warships operated by the US Navy. The Mk 41 VLS can launch Tomahawk cruise missiles to strike strategic targets, or fire long range anti-aircraft Standard Missiles in an anti-aircraft role.

The LAMPS III helicopter and sonar system allows the 'Tico' to perform anti-submarine missions as well as its main anti-air role.

Ticonderoga Class ships are designed to be elements of carrier battle groups, amphibious assault groups, as well as performing missions such as interdiction or escort. 22 such ships are operated by the US Navy.
