Bau is a sculptural pendant designed by the Danish designer Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt for Normann Copenhagen. She creates a unique and original model, introducing a new way of thinking light: she assembles colors and geometric shapes by paying tribute to the American sculptor Alexander Calder. Initially, simple discs of pine wood are assembled like a jumble, so that the luster gradually takes the form of a unique sculpture, broken by the different colors, the different sizes and the irregular assemblies of the disks. confer a living, natural aspect such as a constellation in motion. The Bau lamp, which means "construction" in German, is an example of a DIY object (for Do It Yourself, that is, "do it yourself"), because it is you who compose - even your lighting. The design of the Bau lamp is complex: at first glance, the assembly of the discs seems fortuitous, but when we examine the suspension more closely, we see that nothing is left to chance, and the circles create an amazing optical effect. Perfect for brightening a child's room in its colorful version or in the entrance for the natural version.
