Descrição

This 3D model is of „Station 1“, a sci-fi ground station for loading and unloading of goods. The “Station 1” consists of three levels (level 0-2), ten docks, six containers and three lift platforms. The construction is made of steel and concrete.

Spaceships can be loaded and unloaded at overall ten docks (5 on each of the upper levels). For ground vehicles five additional portals are available on the ground level.

The goods can be distributed to the levels via the three lift platforms or directly reloaded from one spaceship to another. Additionally, it is possible to temporarily store goods in the spacious hall of the levels or – for a longer period – in the six containers (two on every level).

The 3D model was built in 3ds Max. Unit system is set to metric. Model is built to real-world scale. It consists of:

- 8411 objects
- All objects are provided with UVW maps
- All details are geometry
- 26 photometric light sources, skylight system and glow effects.
- The objects are organized cleanly on layers. Not necessary layers can be conveniently hidden or unhidden. Several objects are combined in groups, the groups have own layers.
- Helpers and light sources are organized in separate layers.
- The materials are original Autodesk materials.
- The maps are original Autodesk maps.
- The light output of the glow effects can be controlled via the materials.
- The organization in the material editor is based on the main layers.
- Polygon reverse and bottom sides have been deleted if possible

Total polygons (quads only). 1.511.888
- level 0 – 466.649 polys
- level 1 – 400.632 polys
- level 2 – 436.470 polys
- docks – 218.856 polys
- lifts – 26.233 polys

The used renderer is ‘iray’. GPU rendering of the complete scene needs at least 1 GB available GPU memory – total scene ca. 600 MB plus 3ds Max and Windows ca. 346 MB. The default rendering is set to CPU rendering.

All preview pictures are rendered with ‘iray’, except for the wire frame renderings (with ‘mental ray’).
