Eastern Firefly Rigged is a three-dimensional model of Photinus pyralis, known by the common names as common eastern firefly and big dipper firefly, and which is the popular, widespread and well known species of firefly in North America.

The common eastern firefly, known as Photinus pyralis or the big dipper firefly, is a mesmerizing insect species celebrated for its ability to emit light. Native to the eastern United States, these fireflies create a distinct yellow-green glow through bioluminescence. Their luminescent displays are primarily witnessed during mating seasons when male fireflies use their flashing patterns to attract potential female partners.
