By many considered the helmet of centurions, there's no evidence of this. Probably used by simple soldiers legionaries of some specific unit or even of an elite unit. The eagle with the victory wreath is a very common military iconography found on coins and statuettes and the design has been reconstructed according to Roman coins and statuettes.
