K-551 Vladimir Monomakh is the third Borei Class ballistic missile submarine of the Project 955 in service with the Russian Navy. The ship entered service in 19 December 2014.
The Project 955 Borei Class, also know as Dolgorukiy Class, is the newest Russian nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine. It is projected to replace Russia's Soviet-era Delta III, Delta IV and Typhoon classes in Russian Navy service.
