Water Strider is a 3D model of Gerridae which is a species of family of insects in the order Hemiptera, commonly known as water striders, water scooters, water skeeters, water bugs, pond skaters, water skippers, water skimmers or puddle flies.

The Water Strider insect, also known as a pond skater, is a remarkable creature that glides on the surface of water bodies. Its long, slender legs have tiny hairs that repel water, allowing it to stay afloat. These insects are carnivorous and use their sensitive front legs to detect vibrations from struggling prey on the water's surface. With remarkable agility, they distribute their weight effectively, preventing them from breaking the water's tension and sinking.
