Scattering objects will be hectic and heavy with the help of of particles. Now its done easily with geometry nodes

all are well labeled ( i cant upload the geometry nodes, but all are well labeled )

as a bonus high quality grass and flowers are there which used as an example..

options are pretty self explanatory

there are 2 collections made for you where you could add any collection of objects and scatter and controll its density use weight paint too and more highly customisable and a user friendly scatter you could find online.

# if you want to change the emitter plane you can copy the the plane (emitter) and copy that geo nodes and paste it on your emitter.
