A single-block granite monolith from the Vijayanagara period. Height: roughly 6.7 meters. The figure shows Narasimha in ugra—fierce—form: wide leonine face, protruding eyes, flared mane, and muscular torso. Legs are folded, arms extended to the sides, hands resting on the knees. The damaged upper hands and missing companion figure (Lakshmi) leave exposed sockets and broken surfaces valuable for 3D reconstruction accuracy. The seated pose is framed by a large, coiled seven-hooded serpent (Shesha), forming an arched canopy around the head. Surface texture shows heavy weathering, granular roughness, and chisel marks consistent with 16th-century Vijayanagara stonework. Surrounding plinth is low, rectangular, with worn edges and visible erosion patterns important for spatial grounding in a 3D environment.
