NAO VICTORIA ANIMATED! The NAO VICTORIA is the famous flagship of Fernando MAGELLAN (*1473 - † 1521) expedition armada to explore the westroute around the globe. NAO VICTORIA is an iconic black painted spanish galleon. of about 30m length and 8m width. It has three masts, 6 sails with an overall surface of 286 sqm.

In the animation , NAO VICTORIA is running with a max speed of around 9 knots (~18km/h)
It has been sailing ahead the 5 ship comprising fleet. 260 men leaving Sevilla harbour in september 1519. Three years later, under the lead of Captain and Navigator Juan Sebastián Elcano (*1476 - † 1526 ) a crew of only 18 men left, on the NAO VICTORIA reached SEVILLA harbour.

Thus NAO VICTORIA has been the first ship to circumnavigate the world.
