Very detailed hipoly 3d model of the great old aesculus hippocastanum.
(Aesculus hippocastanum is a large deciduous, synoecious tree, commonly known as horse-chestnut or conker tree. It is native to a small area in the Pindus Mountains mixed forests and Balkan mixed forests of South East Europe. It is widely cultivated in streets and parks throughout the temperate world).

Among an other materials I used photos of the famous Anna Frank tree to create old chestnut with most realistic form and structure.

Model consists of six poligonal objects (there are illustration images in preview):
1. Chestnut_Base&Trunk
2. Chestnut_Secondary_Branches
3. Chestnut_Thick_Branches
4. Chestnut_Thin_Branches
5. Chestnut_Leaves_Cloud
6. Chestnut_Flowers_Cloud

All objects are united in one group.
It is symple to modify chestnut by deleting or disabling any of this objects. For example if you want to use chestnut as winter tree or dead tree - you can simply delete flowers, leaves, thin branches and secondary branches.

There are two multisubobject materials in each 3ds max file. One material for spring and summer / another material for autumn.
If you have an autumn scene - you can simply apply autumn mat to leaves cloud.

There are three Max2011 files: first one with standard mat, second one with V-ray mat, third one with V-ray mat and V-ray proxy files.
The third file has to be described in more detail. The third file is easier than others (only 226195 polys and 317251 verts). Flowers, leaves, thin branches and secondary branches are proxyfied. Base and thick branches are not proxyfied. So you can make close up renders of bark with displace map.

FBX and OBJ files were tested and have to work properly.
All necessary textures are in each archive. If you are going to use chestnut in FBX or OBJ format for an autumn scene - you have to apply autumn texture to leaves cloud.

Preview images were rendered with V-Ray adv 2.00.02.
