This model is based on a real-life castle located at Gillette Castle State Park, 67 River Road, Hadlyme, CT. The castle was designed and built in 1919 by WIlliam Hooker Gillette, a well known architect. This unique structure towers over Connecticut River and represents a unique architectural epoch.
