Here is a very detailed model of a server rack cabinet typically used housing large arrays of rack mounted computers servers (although any rack equipment could be used).
It was built to scale using real-word measurements and CAD drawings as a reference. It was created in 3DS MAX 2011 and uses standard Mentalray materials which can easily be changed. No bit maps are used on the models for hassle free network rendering, however an HDRI image is used for the enviroment which is included. This scene has the doors rigged with dummies and are animated. There are also key frames to explode the parts as shown in the renderings (these keys can be removed).The parts are intelligently named and grouped. When possible, object pivot points are placed where they should be for logical animation and parametric objects are left un-collapsed so that you can adjust and animate them, when desired. This model is ready to be dropped into your scenes, animated and rendered.
