8,8cm Kwk 43 (8,8cm Pak 43) Cannon Shells
These models contain low poly cannon shells used in the 8,8cm Kwk 43 and 8,8cm Pak 43 Guns. These would be the cannon shells used in the King Tiger (Tiger II), Elefant (Ferdinand) tank destroyer, Jagdpanther tank destroyer, Nashorn tank destroyer, and the anti tank guns designated 8,8cm Pak 43. Care was made to research the dimensions of the shells as well as the marking on the ammo box and the individual shells. These models are designed for use in Video Games with two versions included: a low poly version with 516 vertices and 960 triangles; and a super low poly version with 82 vertices and 144 triangles. Each shell has 2 objects. The actual projectile and the brass casing.
Also included are the ammo boxes the shells were shipped in. These boxes are also in two versions: one with the interior that has 324 vertices and 518 Triangles, this has 2 objects the box and the lid; and a version with no interior (exterior only) that has 212 vertices and 357 Triangles.
The shells have 5 textures of 1024x1024: AP (Armor Piercing), AP Normal Map, HE (High Explosive), HE Normal Map, Smoke (the smoke texture used the HE Normal map texture).
The Ammo boxes have 4 textures of 1024x1024: markings for AP, markings for HE, marking for Smoke, and a Normal Map texture for the box.
The models and all renderings were made using Blender 2.70 in Blender Render mode.
I also included the original .psd files for the textures as well as the original wood texture I created for the ammo boxes.
For convenience I saved the models with the textures already assigned to them so you just have to load the file for AP or HE and the appropriate textures will already be assigned to them. This is the reason there are 12 models in the package.
The Models have been saved in .blend(original); .dae; and .obj file formats.
In certain renderings I used a dirt texture that was not mine and so I could not include the texture with this distribution. So a very crude dirt texture is included.
There is also a RenderScene.blend which has the scene I made all the renderings from (not included in the dae or obj package... I recommend downloading the 'other' package which includes everything).
The model was recreated in real world scale with 1 unit being 1 meter.
*NOTE: The downloads specified as Other have all three formats included in them (.blend, .dae, .obj). I would recommend downloading this package.
