Ju EF-126 “Elli” Dual Argus As 104 (1944 – 1945)

Right at the end of World War 2 Germany started the Miniaturjägerprogram (Miniature Fighter programme).
This program’s mission was to develop cheap and simple fighters to help Germany
turn the tide of the war which at that point was looking very bad for Germany.

One of the proposed fighter programs wat the Junkers Ju EF-126 “Elli”, powered by an
Argus Pulse engine and the EF-127 “Walli”, powered by a Walter liquid rocket
engine. The Argus Pulse engine was already used for several years on Germany’s
V1 flying bomb. These fighters had two 20mm MG 151/20 cannons and a total of
400kg of bombs, (in this version rockets). The maximum speed of this plane was
780 km/h (485 mph) with a range of 350 km (218 mi).
