This set of five sockets 6,8,10,11,12mm (there are also five clones in the scene) has all you need to work with to make more of your own models. The meshes are lofted from editable splines which are all present - check which layers are hidden when you open it as there is a construction layer with all the splines in. The surface knurl marks, brand name and socket sizes are all made with displacement mapping using the mental ray shaders (the standard mental ray package which ships with Max7). The knurl maps are procedural so you can change how many appear on the surface very easily by changing the tiling in the material editor. Each socket loft contains 20444 polygons with their entire modifier stack intact for you to play with.
