This free model is a low-poly chess board although it is OK for close-ups due to it's shape. It comes with two materials. One is the checkers, which "chess_board.jpg" is the diffuse and bump-map for. For the diffuse change the blend mode to lighten if you want to change the color. The other material is the underside and edges of the board, which "wood.bmp" should be set as the diffuse map for.
