The F-14 served as the U.S. Navy"s primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor and tactical reconnaissance platform, it was first deployed in the mid 70s and retired in 2006, becoming an icon among jet fighters.

This model depicts a jet from VF-84 Jolly Rogers during the first cruise of the squadron aboard USS Nimitz, in the 1970s high-visibility paint scheme and early configuration, as it was filmed in the movie "The Final Countdown." It"s complete with the full arsenal of AIM-54 Phoenix, AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9 Sidewinder.
