Description

Wild West Mission Church: a high-detail Spanish colonial adobe mission church of the Mexican and American frontier (about 1850 to 1885) at real-world size (19.1 x 40.5 x 14.3 m), 495,584 triangles.

A Spanish colonial mission church on the frontier: thick adobe walls under eroded lime plaster with spalls that show the brick and mud mortar, a stepped espadana bell gable with three bronze bells on timber yokes and their ropes, a carved cantera stone portal with a studded plank door, wicket and strap hinges, projecting vigas and canales draining the flat terrado roof, buttresses, a walled atrium in front, a sacristy at the side and a cross on top.

Details:
- Built piece by piece: every adobe brick, cantera block, viga, board, stud, bell and pane is its own slightly irregular part, and the structure has settled a little: walls lean a few centimetres and long timbers sag.
- Blender file: the original procedural PBR materials, exactly as rendered in the gallery. Tiling textures (eroded lime plaster over mud render, adobe brick and mud mortar, cantera stone, weathered timber, bronze with verdigris, old iron) with a colour variation per piece, grime in the corners, mud splash, dust on the upper faces and the painted signs.
- 3ds Max, FBX, OBJ, glTF and USD: the same look baked into 6 unique 4096 px PBR texture sets on a non-overlapping UV: Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, Normal (OpenGL and DirectX), AO and packed ORM.
- A generic building of the period: no signs, brands or trademarks.
- 495,584 triangles, 330,614 vertices; one object; ground at z = 0, front facing -Y, metres, real-world size.
- Exterior model with dark backing behind the openings; no furnished interior. High-poly hero asset for close-ups, film and visualisation: no LODs or collision meshes.

Part of the Wild West Town series, Vol. 3: large frontier landmarks, also coming in bundles at a discount.

Formats: Blender 3.2+ (native, procedural materials), 3ds Max 2022+ (Physical Material), FBX 7.4, glTF 2.0 binary (textures embedded), OBJ and USD (UsdPreviewSurface); the exchange formats use the baked texture sets. Maya and Cinema 4D users: import the included FBX or USD.

All renders shown were made in Blender Cycles with the included Blender file; no post-processing.
