General Information:
The Sharps Model 1874 is a popular hunting and target rifle which is used to engage formidable targets over a long distance. The Model 1874 was generally chambered in either .45-70 government or .50-90, with the latter being the caliber of choice for dangerous game. This particular model features a match grade stock, front notch / ladder sight and a rear peep sight for long range engagements. The 32” light octagonal barrel ensures portability without sacrificing long distance performance.
