Description

A small coaxial Mars helicopter: two counter-rotating carbon rotors, a solar panel on top of the mast, an insulated fuselage cube with cameras, and four spring landing legs. The previews include a flight pose with motion-blurred rotors.

Rigged: upper and lower rotor spin, blade pitch, body and root for flight.

- Real-world size: 1.21 x 1.21 x 0.49 m (W x L x H), Z up, origin on the ground.
- PBR metal/rough textures (up to 4K): Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, Normal (OpenGL and DirectX). Texture sets: Paint 1K, Metal 2K, Foil 2K, Misc 2K.
- One mesh skinned to an armature of 8 bones. Every part is rigidly weighted to one bone, so the skeleton works in any engine. Advanced rig controls (drivers and constraints) are in the .blend; in FBX every bone is posed independently. Rest pose, no animation.
- No floating parts.
- Native Blender scene plus a 3ds Max 2022 scene with Physical Materials.

Geometry: 21,020 triangles.

Part of the Mars Exploration series: rover, micro rover, helicopter drone and lander.

Formats: Blender 3.2+ (native), 3ds Max 2022+, FBX 7.4, glTF 2.0 binary (textures embedded), OBJ and USD (UsdPreviewSurface). Maya and Cinema 4D users: import the included FBX or USD.

All renders shown were made in Blender Cycles with the included files; no post-processing.
