Notes: This tree is a hybrid of two Asian Magnolia species. It has deciduous leaves and the flowers appear in Spring, before, or together with, the first leaves. Originally with white tepals, a very popular cultivar has been also produced with a purple blush at the base which fades into white. Japanese name: Mokuren.
