Description

BASE MODEL
Rigged model of a Lauric acid, C12H24O2 molecular structure.

This model was created in 3Ds Max 2015 and exported to FBX and OBJ file formats.
The model was rendered with VRay 3.5.
All accompanying max files are ready to produce the same render results as the advertised images.

Materials
The high gloss VRay material colors match the CPK color convention.

UVW Maps
UV maps are grouped and overlapped by atom type, taking advantage of the available texture space.

Instanced size and resolution controllers
The base model is lightly rigged with instanced controllers, allowing for global control and customization of the structure.

Please see the features video under ‘previews’.
Please note, the molecule in this example video is caffeine. This Lauric acid molecule has the same functionality as described in the video.

COLLAPSED READY-TO-GO MODELS
A collapsed Lauric acid molecule model is also available in the following file formats; MAX, FBX and OBJ.
The geometry is collapsed merged together based on atom type. The mesh is assigned unique polygon material ID’s, ready for multi/sub-object materials.
