Description

This model is fairly detailed and built near to scale within a few inches of actual general dimensions. The landing gear, landing gear doors, control surfaces and turbine are animateable and the canopy can be opened. This model is fully textured and comes with multiple formats.

One of the advanced fighter jets developed by the German scientist during World War II was Heinkel He 162 Volksjäger (People's Fighter). It was single-engine, jet-powered fighter aircraft fielded by the Luftwaffe.

Nicknamed the Salamander or Sparrow by pilots, these were designed to be high altitude, trans sonic speed advanced light weight jet fighters. They were designed to be economic and easily maintained and their mission was to counter the huge threat of constant allied bombing of Germany. About 200 were produced before the end of the war but few ever saw combat.
