The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter aircraft
developed in the mid 1930s for the Royal Air Force and used extensively during
the Second World War. It was operated by
the Royal Air Force and in large numbers by the allies during the war. It was used during the battle of Britain and
in every theater of operations during the war. The aircraft was easier and less expensive
that the Supermarine Spitfire and helped the RAF get the numbers of fighters it
needed with the limited manufacturing resources available. It was powered by a RR Merlin V-12, almost
identical to the engine in a Spitfire. More than 15000 were produced and used during the war. Hundreds remain airworthy all over the
world.

This model was built near to scale in real units and built
based on drawings, photos, and other documents. This model has a moderately
detailed cockpit and the following animateable features; propeller, ailerons, elevators,
rudder, landing gear and door retraction, and wheels. These
models render very well and look very realistic using good animation, lighting
and rendering technique. It can be used in an animated or static
position within a scene, animation or animated video, or possibly programming
for a flight simulation application.

Exporting of models is limited to 8 formats, but good for
several software applications. This
model is fully textured with all materials UVW mapped and applied. Most
materials are planar mapped and major materials include texturing. All textures and materials are included as
shown. Objects are logically named for ease of scene management.No cleaning up
necessary, just drop your models into the scene and start rendering. No special
plug-ins are needed to open scene.

In most cases the liveries are based on actual service
liveries or paint schemes. Many of the units,
airlines or countries who flew the plane are represented here.
