Description

This model is fairly detailed, includes some cockpit detail, opening canopy, retractable wheel, animateable control surfaces and a well detailed 4 cylinder opposed inline engine.
Propeller is animated. This model is fully textured and built near to scale. Materials and textures are included as shown and the model is available in several formats.

The Fournier RF-4 is a motor glider that was powered with a 1500 CC 4 cylinder opposed inline. It was capable of self launching and had a very long range capability. It was a single seat aircraft and used as a personal plane and glider. It was also used a a long range sport plane. The aircraft was designed and built in 1966. It uses a single monowheel that retracts into the center of the fuselage. A small tail wheel is used for steering and outrigger wheels to balance the wings. The RF-4D was flown across the Atlantic Ocean in May 1969. RF-4 was aerobatic, RF-4D was the production version and 155 were built.
