Accurate and detailed 3d model of Police Light Bar Code 3 MX 7000.
- It contains all components like in real world: Alley Lights, Intersection Sweeper Lights, Arrow-stick Lights, Speaker, Filters, Ventilated and Non Ventilated closure plates, Plastic Foot mountings, also Metal Foot Mount as additional mesh.
- Can be easily transformed in ambulance, firetruck and other kind of alert light bar, by modifying the colors of cover lenses.
- There are 2 versions of light bars:
+ light bar without speaker ( lens dome and cover in the middle)
+ light bar with speaker in the middle
- Real world dimensions, light bar was modeled by respecting real size. Manufacturer drawings and close-up images were used during modeling process.
- Objects are made of only quads and a few triangles where needed, no ngons.
- Some meshes have Mesh Smooth modifier on top (not collapsed), instanced for all meshes, so it's possible to turn on-off the modifier or change its number of subdivisions.
Meshes which don't have Mesh Smooth modifier, contain suffix "No_MeshSmooth" in their names. This is done because for imported models from OBJ or FBX files should be added Mesh Smooth modifier, but avoiding to those meshes with "No_MeshSmooth".
The starting scene has Mesh Smooth modifier turned off, it must be turned on before to render.
- The model is UV Unwrapped. All instanced meshes like bulbs, bolts, mirrors, etc. have overlapped UVs.
Some meshes which are textured with logo text, warning text, have another uv unwrap modifier on top, which covers the entire texture.
- Number of polys and vertices at 0 subdivisions:
+ Light Bar with high-poly filters and ventilated closure plates: 422.452 polys, 424.920 vertices.
+ Light Bar with low-poly filters and simple closure plates: 339.036 polys, 343.184 vertices
- The Light Bar model can be optimized a lot by deleting/hiding some meshes that are not needed or not seen, for example: cables inside, bolts, nuts, bulbs, motors, speaker, etc. Also by selecting low-poly filters and simple closure plates.
- Vray materials applied, all materials are grouped in a Multi/Sub-object mat. There are some other materials for filters, some for high-poly filters, some for low-poly filters which contain a map in bump slot.
- Scene also contains a Multi/Sub-object mat with standard materials in material editor.
- All objects/parts are grouped in a main group, ex: LightBar_Code3_MX7000.
- All objects are appropriately named, English words.
- Presentation mages were rendered in 3ds max 2016 with vray 4.10.02.
- There are 2 max versions: 2012 (blin is set in BRDF) and 2016 (microfacet GTR (GGX) is set in BRDF).
- The model is centered at origin.
- Scene contains both Light Bars (with speaker and without speaker), and additional meshes like: simple closure plates, low-poly filters, metal foot mountings. No light set-up, the scene has vray default render setting with a hdri image in vray environment slot.
- FBX and OBJ files are available, mesh smooth modifier can be added to the imported meshes except to those which contain suffix "No_MeshSmooth" in their names.
FBX files were exported twice: one with vray materials, and second with standard materials.
- To download all files please refer to the archive LIGHTBAR_CODE3_MX7000_ALL which contains 3ds max files, fbx, obj, textures.
