Description

(Polygon and vertex counts are derived from the original SDS and NURBS geometry.)

“ Desktop microphone” is a hand-modeled representation of a common modern desktop microphone, with an actual product photo used for reference. The geometry was generated using a NURBS “revolve” operation to create the mic body, and subdivision-surface (SDS) methodology was used for the frame and dial on the front. Realsoft 3D v. 6 (2013) originally was used to model the object. The
microphone is available in the following 3D formats: R3D (Realsoft 3D/v. 8.2.77/native); 3DM (Open Source: native to Rhinoceros/MOI 3D); 3DS (3D Studio/universal CAD); 3MF (3D printing); DAE
(Collada/common interchange); DXF (Autocad/universal); OBJ (Alias
Wavefront/common); SKP (Google Sketchup); STL
(stereolithography/3D printing); U3D (Universal 3D/PDF); WRL
(VRML 2/’97); X3D (Extensible 3D/WRL successor). Two textures are
supplied, in TGA and PNG formats: speaker (speaker grid)—200x200
pixels, 96 DPI, RGB 16-bit; speaker grid bump map—200x200 pixels, 96 dpi, grayscale 16-bit. All geometry has been carefully inspected for integrity.
