Description

CVF Prince of Wales aircraft carrier, catapult version.

CATOBAR system (Catapult Assisted Take Off But Arrested Recovery)

This is a very high quality 3D model, with high resolution textures (deck texture 4096X1024). The original model was created in Maya and the images above were rendered in with the inbuilt Mentalray renderer.

Other file formats of the CVF model are conversions, and may not retain all the qualities of the original Maya shaders.

The first carrier, the Queen Elizabeth, will enter service mainly as a helicopter carrier. The Prince of Wales will probably be fitted with a electro-magnetic catapult (CATOBAR) system.
