The Chance
Vought Corsair II was a ground attack fighter designed and built during the
1960s and produced in the late 1960s and 1970s. Built as a carrier based aircraft for the US Navy and a ground based
aircraft for the US Air Force, it was very successful in its designed
mission. It was exceptionally maneuverable
and was capable of very accurate bombing and close air support. It was designed with all weather and night
operations in mind. It could carry a
large weapons load and were tough to take rough battlespace conditions and
carrier based operations.
