Description

Si He Yuan is a classical architecture style of residential housing of Beijing citizens dated from the Ming Dynasty. The narrow streets between the Si He Yuan are called "Hutong"s. A single implementation of Si He Yuan comprises of garden surrounded by four houses and protected by high walls. Si He Yuan with Hutong which have been very familiar for people, having a history of more than 700 years now suffer from the urban renovation and economic development of China, and they are slowly disappearing from Beijing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the classic Beijing Si He Yuan. Southern and Northern Dynasties, in the southeast corner of the door, from the outside, inside, after three yard composition. From the shape of ancient Chinese architecture, this level requires a certain grade courtyard aristocratic officials can have.

I spend a lot of time a lot of textual certification, to ensure the correctness of the basic shape and structure of the building. Under the premise of guaranteed visual effects, some details of the structure has been simplified. For some decorative structure has been optimized, but also added some of my own understanding.

On the model I try to do to streamline production, which can be seen through the wireframe preview. Does not exceed the size of the entire model is 90MB (no plants).

The proportion of real-world model size.

The courtyard contains a large number of real carving parts, which I have adopted to simulate the texture.

For completeness of the built environment, I made some simple tree model to achieve the purpose of restoring the real scene. In a separate layer where you can choose whether to require it.

Map making is a huge amount of work, a total of 361 maps. Walls, roof tiles, outdoor floor contains multiple textures (col.normal.bump.spec), mostly the size of 2048 * 2048, 1024 * 1024 minority size. There are more than 100 real Chinese architecture painting (Soviet-style) map for performance in various building components, to restore the true basic.

I was made in 3ds MAX 2009 SP1 x64 version, the file contains the default standard material version and the VR version of the material.

The default standard material versions just do a simple material handling, no rendering process. If you only need to model and texture, you can select this version.

VR version of the material through the material handling (main material), including the lighting and camera lens processing, also carried out post-rendering. See preview.

VR material version of the file, I used the daylight system and contains VR sun 3ds max to create a real scene lighting conditions. Time fixed in 21 April ten o'clock, the location is Beijing China.

Preview I used the physical camera VR, and to show the real scene, complex and wonderful lighting conditions.

I preview render parameters on the quality of the balance point and time, you can adjust itself according to need.
Preview of what you see is a direct rendering of realistic lighting effects, and no modification of image processing and quality of light through the PS, which is the real reason I used the daylight system and VR physical camera, for real.

Finally, I hope you like it!
