Corno creates abstract forms using welded iron and stainless steel. His bold yet lyrical mastery of form caught our attention when we were first introduced to Corno by the 240-page monograph published on his work in 2013. He achieves a sense of poetry in his use of proportion, rhythm, color, texture, and the dance between negative and positive spaces. Casting sentimentality aside, Corno is relentlessly inquisitive about seeking dynamic relationships within the formal language of sculpture. This sculpture is illustrated in the 72-page exhibition catalogue published on the occasion of the inaugural US exhibition "Alex Corno: Works, Milano-Dallas,"
