Description

German 25cm sMW n/A, that mean Schwerer 25cm Minenwerfer neu Art (heavy 25cm mortar new type) was produced in 1916 after years of service its predecessor, 25cm sMW a/A (alte Art, or old type). New version of the mortar has longest barrel, that doubled range of fire, up to 1000 meters for full size shell (almost 100kg HE). Also same design was used for 17cm Minenwerfer, so it was very distinctive German weapon of WWI. To protect the shells from dirt they were packed into wicker cases, each separately like bottle of wine. This help keep mortar"s barrel clean and safe in hard conditions of trench war.

The asset contain two models of the mortar, one wheeled, ready for transportation variant and sited another, ready for firing. Number of polygons for wheeled variant: 70186, for site variant: 55190. Wheels material use 3D Max procedural maps, so it can"t be exported in 3ds format correctly.
