Marion 6360 also known as 'The Captain' is a giant power shovel used to remove surface layer of soil (overburden) and uncover coal. The shovel was a peak achievement by Marion Power Shovel, at the time one of the worlds largest mining manufacturers. Completed in 1965, it holds the record for the heaviest land vehicle ever built with its 15 000 tons.
