Description

This spotlight is a sample model for TurboSquid's real-time tutorial series. It is available as a free sample resource for artists looking to duplicate file structures and/or presentation.

The standard TurboSquid license applies - you are free to use, modify, reverse engineer any and all components of this model for research, or use the final model in projects of your own.

THIS MODEL AS SHOWN IS NOT INTENDED FOR SUBDIVISION.
This model is realtime only! All renders shown were made in Marmoset using a PBR metalness texture workflow.

Included in download:

Spotlight_fbx_textures:
FBX 2012, Binary
All textures are 1024x1024 .png to keep the download lightweight.
Textures include PBR Metalness maps for both Unity and Unreal.
All non-engine images were rendered with Marmoset Toolbag. The fbx and texture download includes a Marmoset Toolbag scene file.

Unity/Unreal Engine specific files:
This download includes native files for both Unity and Unreal. The Unity file is a .unitypackage, generated in and compatible with Unity 5.4.
The Unreal download includes a folder structure, drop Turbosquid_models into your Content folder and close/reopen the editor to see the model in-engine. The Unreal files were created and are compatible with 4.10+. Both engine files use the following folder structure:

Content(Assets)/Turbosquid_models/Spotlight_bbickl22/

The Unity download includes a sample scene (pictured in thumbnails) as well as a prefab with lighting and collision for both subobjects.
The Unreal files also include collision/hitboxes pre-applied to the submeshes.

Spotlight_source_files:
I've included the source files for the mesh as well. Spotlight.max is backwards compatible to 3ds Max 2013. The scene is not intended for rendering, but includes the high and low poly meshes used for texture baking and the non-triangulated low poly source.
Spotlight.psd is the single source texture. All maps (diffuse, metalness, roughness, normals, etc) are embedded into the document via photoshop Layer Comps, included are all maps for a PBR pipeline as well as maps for the Source Engine/Last Gen. See thumbnail for all maps available. All textures have been hand painted and calibrated. Fonts have been rasterized to maximize compatibility.

Technical Info
Mesh data:
Submeshes are named logically: bracket and lamp
The fbx is pre-triangulated, and is 730 tris between the bracket and lamp.
Animation:
The mesh is not rigged, but is in a logical hierarchy. Each subobject has pivot points optimized for rotation.
Scale:
The scale is cm, and the object is roughly the size of a large lighting object.
UVs:
UVs are non-overlapping and include a lightmap UV set in UV channel 1.
