This is a detailed 3D model of the Near Earth Asteriod Scout, or NEA Scout.

NEA Scout is an exciting new mission that was recently selected by NASA's Advanced Exploration Systems (AES) by a team from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Marshall Space Flight Center. It is pending launch in September 2022 aboard the Artemis 1.

This is a "Cube Sat" and is modeled to scale.

The model comes in two configurations - Solar Sail stowed, and Solar Sail Extended. You can simply select the appropriate group to hide or show either area. Rigging is another matter although the key components - Boom lead-out, cable pulls, and sail spindle are all articulated.

The solar panels are parented and pivioted for both stowed and deployed configurations.

Textures include diffuse, normal, and specular maps.

Detailed multilayer texture files are available for the sail and the main unit.

Renders are from the Blender version of the model.
