Description

Inferno Class heavy weapon cruiser.

This model was designed to have the "main gun" charge from the 3 wingtip pods and collect at/near the nose. The vertical fin charge was envisioned to feed into the small dorsal fin behind the twin turret.

This is a from-scratch and refined rebuild into 3ds max of my old "earthforce cruiser" gmax model.

Scene specifics

38 total objects in the scene including

1 light
1 torus (edited) with 144 verts/120 polys (object has been frozen)
1 plane with 25 verts/32 polys (object has been frozen)

--Poly/Vert counts as listed in the product specs includes the torus and plane objects--

The ship itself comprises the remaining 25 objects with the "main_hull" component being the core of the model. The wings/fin link to sub components which then link to the main hull.

The turret weapon barrels link to the turrey body, then the turret mounts then the main hull.

The engines and the fixed "beam" weapons are linked directly to main_hull.

Model info.

No animations, rigging or textures. A composite material is saved with the file but is not applied. It serves only for mental ray wireframe renders as shown in the thumbnail images.

No pivot points have been configured.
