Description

The AgustaWestland AW101 (EH101 until June 2007) is a medium-lift helicopter for military applications but also marketed for civil use. The helicopter was developed as a joint venture between Westland Aircraft in the UK and Agusta in Italy (now merged as AgustaWestland). The name Merlin is used for AW101s in British, Danish and Portuguese military service.

The helicopter has three Rolls Royce engines. It can accommodate up to 24 seated and 45 standing combat troops. While the Royal Airforce and Royal Navy are the main operaters it is currently flown by several airforces around the world.

The helicopter rotors are instanced with a bend modifier to allow easier animation.
