GITAI R1 Lunar Robotic Rover Rigged for Maya is a 3d model of lunar rover designed for exploration and inspection of the Moon.


GITAI is a space robotics startup that aims to provide an inexpensive and safe means of working in space. The robot, called the R1, was designed and built by GITAI in partnership with the Japanese space agency, JAXA. The lunar robotic rover “R1” that can perform general-purpose tasks on the moon such as exploration, mining, inspection, maintenance, assembly, etc. The Robotic Rover R1 is awe-inspiring, with the physical structure of the rover contemplating the look of a centaur creature having the legs and body of a horse, and the face and arms of a human. It has cameras attached to both of its eyes, has two claw-like arms, and consists of four legs like a horse.

For space bases, outer space exploration, science fiction, lunar roving vehicles (LRV), space travel, simulation video games, and computer games design.

The pose of the model on the render images is an example and can be recreated using rig, it is not initially included into the product.
