All Characters are generated from one base character!
The benefit from this is, you only need one UVlayout, one skinning and one animation set for all versions!
The scene is meant to be as a construction kit for male crowd characters, to fill up stadiums or concert halls, architecture, large places.
The texture resolution is 1024x1024 pixels per character and the polycount is 2194 (quads only) for each charactermesh. This should work for far to mid camera ranges.
The scene consists of 67 variations of the base model as examples. All created from 18 different geometry version with multimaterials. 67 unique Textureversions (diffuse map only) are included. Also included is the open PSD file with all layers to do your own texture versions. The variations are done from one basemesh, which keeps several morphtargets.
Rig is a standard biped with two twistbones for upperarms and thighs. There is already a walkcylce applied, but it's not the best (as you can see in the downloadable mov). Scene keeps the morphanimation as well.
The FBX exporter doesn't support Character Studio twist bones. For the FBX file, the Model was reskinned to a single thigh and upper arm bone.
Different scaling should be done directly on the instanced mesh, (if you go with pointcaches) or you change the size of the biped (if you go with multiple bipeds).
Textures are Contained only in the Mental Ray file.
