For the 3ds file: All parts (58 - named appropriately) modeled according to spec drawings; fully animatable (see animation_info.txt below for setup). All objects modeled/separated for rigging setup; arms lift, bucket tilts, and rams for each work correctly. All parts requiring textures are mapped and ready (3ds archive includes the texture maps), and all use a default standard material (as opposed to Arch & Design in the max file).
For the max file: Fully rigged/mapped/textured and ready to go; all materials and textures included. Previews shown here were all rendered from that file. Wheels linked to helpers, (rotation of which are described in animation_info.txt below). For the animation preview, a path constraint was used for the body, expression controllers related to the length of that path for the wheels (all four of which can be made to operate independently). The arms and bucket are controlled by sliders. Renders were mental ray (mr Sun & mr Sky & final gather).
For convenience, the max archive also contains the ground plane with a large 4096x4096 dirt texture useful for this type of environment (not included in the 3ds archive).
