SHAVE AND A HAIRCUT NOTE:
The Fur is made with Shave and A Haircut for Maya 2011 so you would need that software to render the fur out.
For an even better render quality you can increase the hair primitives count up to your machine memory limit.
The actual rendering time is about 4 minutes for an HD 1200x1200 frame (rendered on a system based on intel pentium quadcore with 8 gigs ram)
--6 different hair systems for a total of 230k hair prims.
The Shave and Haircut Fur is included in all MAYA 2011 formats (.ma/mb)
*Please always use an updated Shave and a haircut release to avoid rendering issues.

RIG NOTES:
This model is rigged using simple ikHandles and NURBS primative control objects to help achieve realisitc animations of the the limbs, joints, and muscles. Control objects can be easily manipulated through the transform tools to achieve desired animations.
Also ears and jaw have controls-
