This Static Ocean Seascape is intended to be used as an enhancer for your 3d models.
The sailing boat present in some Thumbnails is not supplied with the Seascape but can be bought separately under the name 'Latin Sail Boat'. The supplied scenes represent waves approaching the coast frontally and at 45 degrees, they are a sample of what you can find in the much wider 'Ocean Seascape Collection' publisched in Turbosquid.
By the use of the many elements supplied and different parameter settings you can obtain a very large range of sea scenes, ready to be used. Furthermore joined veritable textures can higlhy improve results; you remain free to replace the supplied flat Sea-Bottom with a more shaped ground, creatings rocks and islands.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Elements composing each scene are three: Sky (in different tones), Sea-Bottom (coral-seaweed or sand-posidonia), Sea-Surface table (two wave .obj files are supplied, with waves approaching at 90 degs and 45 degs.; waves height is 1m, distance within crests approx 10m).
The supplied Sea-Surfaces have a dimension of 200m x 200m, but are specially shaped to simulate the earth curvature, reproducing a landscape extending just to the horizon, with waves reducing in scale with distance. The result is a complete Seascape as it can be seen from the shore with a photo lens of 35mm; any longer lens can be used, although the camera position can not be varied too much, to maintain realism of the perspective; present camera elevation is about 10m above sea level.
Sea-Surfaces .obj files to be Imported are given with a resolution levels of 12, corresponding to: res 12 288x288 quads 82944 verts 83532 Importing one or the other .obj file changes the direction of waves.
Many Sea textures are given to adapt the scene to different weather conditions; in some case they also mime different sea-forces without the need to change the sea surface. Thumbnails show some possible effects. Sea-Ssurface textures are hi-resolution and represent different kind of sea colors and conditions: a3DSC0205rid.jpg 899kb a3DSC0205rid01.jpg 830kb a3DSC0206rid.jpg 894kb a3DSC0223rid.jpg 731kb a3DSC0224rid.jpg 698kb a3DSC0227rid.jpg 804kb
One Foam textures inclined parallel to the coast is given: foam01-90deg.png 144x144 35kb To avoid apparent discrepancies in the scene, Foam textures need to be used only with the corresponding angle of the Sea-surface mesh.
The Sky texture is supplied in 3 separete tonality files to mime different lighting/weather conditions, and is much wider then the viewed horizon to allow for a custom positioning: - a3sky0158-0162-00.jpg 8619x1758px 1.25Mb (flat) - a3sky0158-0162-02.jpg 8619x1758px 1.17Mb (h.tone) - a3sky0158-0162-04.jpg 8619x1758px 1.38Mb (vh.tone)
The Bottom texture is supplied as a sample; you can use both .jpg files given: a3montir05 2464x1025 637kb a3renab07 1109x684 106kb and replace the flat mesh with a completely different surface. Transparence of the sea material can be changed to view the sea-bottom, that changes the color of sea surface as a consequence.
