Note*: This model has been made free and is no longer supported. However, Uploading this model onto a different website without our consent is prohibited.

This Apartment Building model was made in Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2011 and has been exported only from Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2011. Also note that this model was only tested in the following programs:

Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2011

Autodesk 3D Studio Max 2011 Design

The Model Has Been Exported into the Following File Formats:

MAX Scene

The model was made to scale using the US Standard Units by Feet in 1/32 ‘. This includes the exterior and interior as well. All objects such as doors and windows retain the “ACE Extended” properties, to allow users to change the size and other properties of the doors and windows to their liking. This also includes the ability to open and close the doors, windows and even the window shutters. The model walls and floors have been separated into a “Multi-Subject Object” to allow easier placement of Materials and Textures accordingly to different rooms throughout the building. The Building model has a total number of One-Hundred and Twenty-Seven (127) objects in the scene. Therefore, to help with the organization, the building model is organized in the layers menu by floor. (I.E First Floor Objects or Second Floor Objects)
When you open the model in 3DS Max, You will see a blue outline of the interior walls named “WallTrims (Backup [Hidden])”. This was made to help create the wall trims throughout the house, and was left there on purpose incase users needed to create their own wall trims. The outline can be left unhidden because it will not be rendered. (Although the user can have it rendered if He/She Wishes) If you do not see this object under the building model when you open the scene, Right click – Then Select “Unhide All”. The Object could have been hidden on accident.

Note: The Object has been frozen sometimes when the building was modeled. If you are unable to select the outlines or they are in a grey shade, you may need to Right Click – Then Select “Unfreeze All”. Once you’ve done that, the outlines should turn blue.
