A Captain's Sea Chest with brass-studded embellishments.
This particular chest was typically carried onboard a ship by a captain on long voyages during the early 1900s. The camphor wood released a pleasant odor that also kept unwanted bugs at bay. The carvings in the the wood and brass are of Indonesian origin.
This model features an extraordinary level of detail with two ultra high resolution texture maps (4096x4096 pixels) for both diffuse color and normal map. Everything from the hand carvings to the grain in the wood is clearly visible. The lid is hinged allowing the chest to be opened and closed and the brass rings and pin on both sides of the chest are removable as well. The model is also strictly composed of quads and features clean geometry. Model objects follow a logical naming scheme.
Available file formats include OBJ, 3DS and STL. The textures are included with each format and are stored in the appropriate path.
