I was going to use this for my game modification, but it simply has too many parts and pieces, plus too many polygons. It's kind of sad because this is the only good M1 Carbine model I found.

As per the model itself, it is well done and looks very attractive. And it's free! Even with the textures included. Amazing model, but not set up for video game use.

Description
A highly detailed, medium poly, fully textured .30 cal US M1 Carbine. The scale is 1 Maya unit = 1 cm.

Materials and texture files are included with diagrams on how to reconnect them.

This is NOT, repeat NOT historically accurate. The 1942 version did not have a bayonet lug or adjustable sights. The 30 rd magazine was not in service until after world war 2. The original bolt was flat. Some other small inaccuracies. If you are a gun buff you will spot them. But if you add a selector switch to the receiver it makes a good M2 Carbine.

Future projects - Historically accurate versions of
M1 Carbine 1942 (original)
M1A1 Carbine (folding)
M1 Carbine 1944 (adjustable sights)
M2 Carbine (full automatic)
Texturing and scaling of my M1911A1 available on this site (so it matches the carbine)

Both these weapons also had parkerized finishes. I may make textures for these if I have the time.

Have fun!
