Relief map of the world in a Geographic or Plate Carree projection. The color of the land relief is a standard cartographic elevation color banding from sea level green to brown and white at the higher elevations with a shadow effect created by a westerly light source. The ocean floor is also slightly depicted by variation in the blue color to denote depths. The scale of the map is based on 40 km per pixel or 25 miles per pixel. This map may be used to wrap and render globes for 3D globe animation and visualization.
